SUMMARY The experimental work was carried out at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the Technical University of Babahoyo, located at kilometer 7, 5 of the Babahoyo-Montalvo road, whose coordinates are UTM 668,673 and 9 801,116 2 with an altitude of 8 masl. The zone presents a humid tropical climate, with average annual temperature of 25.7ºC, an average annual precipitation of 1845 mm, relative humidity of 76% and 804.7 hours of average annual heliophany. The rice varieties FSL 09, FSL 11 and Ferón were used as Factor A (Varieties), Factor B (Moon calendar) with the use and without the use of it. The experimental design that was used was the design of randomized complete blocks (DBCA), in factorial arrangement A x B and 4 repetitions. For the evaluation and comparison of the data of each treatment, the Tukey test was performed at 5% statistical significance. All the tasks were carried out according to the treatments established for the normal development of the research, such as soil preparation, sowing, weed control, phytosanitary control, irrigation, fertilization, harvest. Based on the results obtained, it was determined that the highest leaf area index was presented in the SFL-09 variety without the use of the lunar agricultural calendar; In the plant height, number of tillers / m2, grain-straw ratio and weight of 1000 grains, the Ferón variety reported better results with the use of the lunar agricultural calendar and it was observed that in the agronomic characteristics, a favorable response of the Ferón variety with the use of lunar agricultural calendar, which positively influenced to obtain higher yield with 6002.0 kg / ha. RESUMEN El trabajo experimental fue realizado en la Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo, ubicada en el kilómetro 7,5 de la vía Babahoyo-Montalvo, cuyas coordenadas son UTM 668.673 Y 9 801.116 2 con una altitud de 8 msnm. La zona presenta un clima tropical húmedo, con temperatura media anual de 25,7ºC, una precipitación media anual de 1845 mm, humedad relativa de 76 % y 804,7 horas de heliofanía promedio anual. Se utilizaron las variedades de arroz FSL 09, FSL 11 y Ferón como Factor A (Variedades), Factor B (Calendario lunar) con la utilización y sin la utilización del mismo. El Diseño experimental que se utilizó fue el diseño de bloques completos al azar (DBCA), en arreglo factorial A x B y 4 repeticiones. Para la evaluación y comparación de los datos de cada tratamiento se realizó la prueba de Tukey al 5% de significancia estadística. Todas las labores se realizaron acorde a los tratamientos establecidos para el normal desarrollo de la investigación, tales como preparación de suelo, siembra, control de malezas, control fitosanitario, riego, fertilización, cosecha. Por los resultados obtenidos, se determinó que el mayor índice de área foliar se presentó en la variedad SFL-09 sin la utilización de calendario agrícola lunar; en la altura de planta, número de macollos/m2, relación grano-paja y peso de 1000 granos, la variedad Ferón reportó mejores resultados con la utilización de calendario agrícola lunar y se observó que en las características agronómicas, se reportó favorable respuesta de la variedad Ferón con la utilización de calendario agrícola lunar, lo que influyó positivamente a obtener mayor rendimiento con 6002,0 kg/ha.
