dc.description.abstract	Se presenta un caso clínico de un paciente pediátrico que ingreso al Hospital Básico de Balzar acompañado de su madre por un cuadro clínico febril que no cedia con la medicación que ella le proporcionaba en casa acompañado de dolor en el hipogastrio y genitales enrojecidos lo cual conllevo a que la madre lo ingresara por el área de emergencias. Mediante la valoración exhaustiva y la recolección de datos clínicos se llegó al diagnóstico de infección de vías urinarias, en el cual la presentación más evidente fue encontrar nitritos y bacterias en el examen de Uroanálisis y leucocitosis en el examen hematológico. Los cuidados en el paciente pediátrico durante la hospitalización son muy meticulosos cuidando los signos y síntomas de ansiedad y miedo por parte del infante, el personal de enfermería en su labor asistencial y de cuidado directo brinda apoyo a los familiares evitando incomodidad y resolviendo sus dudas sobre los tratamientos en el paciente. Despues de tres días de hospitalización el infante se encuentra más animado interactuando con el personal de salud, se le practican exámenes de laboratorio donde se puede evidenciar mejoría en el infante. Medico pediatría le prescribe el alta donde se le administra sus medicamentos para que complete su esquema de antibióticos y pueda regresar a su hogar y se realiza educacion a madre y familiares sobre el cuidado del niño y la tratamiento farmacologico a seguir	es_ES
