SUMMARY The present experimental work was carried out in the faculty of agricultural sciences of the UTB, which is located in km 7 ½ of the Montalvo road in the province of Los Ríos. The geographic coordinates of the experimental lot are 01-49'S latitude and 79-32'W longitude, with a height of 8 masl, it has a humid tropical climate with an annual average of 2.656 mm of precipitation; 79% relative humidity; and the temperature is 25.5 ° C. The objective of this work was to evaluate the runoff of stolons of rye grass exposed to irradiation levels 25, 50, 75, 100 Gy and a control in Babahoyo county. The genetic material that was used was stolons of the Eriochloa polystachya Kunth janeiro grass harvested in the premises of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences. The samples were irradiated in the Ministry of Electricity and Non-Renewable Energy whose laboratory of research and nuclear applications in Ecuador is located in Alóag province of Pichincha. The completely randomized experimental design was used, where five treatments with four repetitions were studied, which were contrasted with the Tukey test at 95% probability. Based on the results obtained, it was determined that the variable yield of stolons of rye grass was obtained a value of 27 % with the irradiation level 25 Gy respectively. With the variable plant height of the stolons, the highest plant height was obtained with the 25 Gy irradiation level with a value of 27.64 cm at 30 days. The variable percentage of mortality registered mortality of 100 % with the irradiation level 100 Gy.es_ES
