dc.description	Encephalocele is a rare defect of the neural tube due to closure error, characterized by the protrusion of the cranial contents beyond the normal limits of the skull through a defect of the cranial vault and are included within the fusion disorders of the skull. the structures of the dorsal midline of the primitive neural tube, during the first four weeks of gestation. The present clinical case, aims to apply nursing care to obtain immediate recovery and avoid the risks of infection in the neonate who is operated on because of presenting extracranial tissue in the occipital region of the skull, due to a defect in the cranial vault. This clinical case is based on a case of encephalocele that was observed in the Roberto Gilbert Pediatric Hospital of the City of Guayaquil, during the year of rotating internship in pediatric rotation, with the application of the nursing care process, Neonato tubo adequate attention and recovery is immediate without any alteration in the skin and no cognitive alteration was observed	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	El encefalocele es un raro defecto del tubo neural por error del cierre del mismo, caracterizado por la protrusión del contenido craneal más allá de los límites normales del cráneo a través de un defecto de la bóveda craneana y se incluyen dentro de los trastornos de fusión de las estructuras de la línea media dorsal del tubo neural primitivo, durante las cuatro primeras semanas de gestación. El presente caso clínico, pretende aplicar los cuidados de Enfermería obtener la recuperación inmediata y evitar los riesgos de infección en neonato que es intervenido quirúrgicamente por presentar tejido extra craneal en región occipital del cráneo, por un defecto de la bóveda craneana. Este caso clínico está basado en un caso de encefalocele que se observó en el Hospital Pediátrico Roberto Gilbert de la Ciudad de Guayaquil, al cursar el año de internado rotativo en la rotación de pediatría, con la aplicación del proceso de atención de enfermería, Neonato tubo una atención adecuada y la recuperación es inmediata sin existir alguna alteración en la piel y tampoco se observó alteración cognitiva	es_ES
