Renal Insufficiency is described as the loss of renal function causing retention of substances, where there is elevated urea and creatinine, that is why it is considered a renal failure when the kidney does not fulfill its functions as the distribution of body water and electrolytes and in turn the acid-base balance, blood pressure. Chronic renal failure consists of a progressive and irreversible destruction of the nephrons of both kidneys. When the glomerular filtration rate is less than 15 ml / min, its last stage occurs, which is renal disease in terminal state, requiring dialysis or transplantation for patient survival. The main causes that lead to chronic renal failure are: Diabetes, hypertension, primary glomerulopathies. Due to the consequence of the destruction of the nephrons they begin to work to the maximum to be able to cover the filtration needs of the solutes, the tubules begin to lose their function of reabsorbing the electrolytes so that the organism can not rid the residual products Through the kidneys appears uremia and finally an electrolyte imbalance and in turn begins to affect the other systems. In the development of this clinical case we will expose the care and nursing care that should be given to this type of patient, providing knowledge about the treatment to be followed by both the patient and their relatives. Finalizing the nursing professional plays a fundamental role in the education of the patient's health and contributes as a support element since being a chronic disease, it will affect all the vital areas of the patient, family and their environment. This clinical study is related to Callista Roy's nursing theory, where it deals with the adaptation model where its objective is to facilitate the adaptation of the subject by strengthening the coping mechanisms and modes of adaptation related to the clinical study of the patient to make a dialysis change the patient must adapt to the changes that this procedure takeses_ES
