dc.description	The leiomyomas or uterine fibroids are solid, benign tumors of the uterine muscle (matrix), which have variable shapes, locations and sizes that affect the uterine body. They are classified according to the location where they are located, they can be: intramural, submucosal and subserosal. The incidence of uterine myomatosis in Ecuador is estimated to be between 30% to 50% of women and this percentage increases up to 70% in women of childbearing age. The following case study deals with a 41-year-old patient admitted for presenting a clinical picture of vaginal bleeding in an abundant amount with the presence of clots plus abdominal pain of 48 hours of evolution, which is why she is hospitalized. Blood tests and transvaginal ultrasound are performed, the latter confirming the presence of leiomyoma located in the uterus. The treatment that will be applied is hysterectomy The general objective will be to provide quality nursing care by applying the Nursing Care Process in a 41-year-old patient with leiomyoma of the uterus, at the Guayaquil Hospital "Dr. Albert Gilbert '', to improve his health problem. For the realization of the clinical case we can mention that this disease is a real and potential problem in women over 35 years that can affect not only their quality of life but also emotionally. This research work allowed me to acquire new knowledge about this disease and about the appropriate and necessary nursing care that should be provided; and through the application of the nursing care process obtain the prompt recovery of the patient based on their treatment.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	Los leiomiomas o miomas uterinos son tumoraciones sólidas, benignos del músculo uterino (matriz), que tienen formas, localizaciones y tamaños variables, que afectan al cuerpo uterino. Se clasifican según la ubicación donde se encuentren, pueden ser: intramurales, submucosos y subserosos. La incidencia de miomatosis uterina en el Ecuador se estima que se encuentra entre el 30 % a 50% de las mujeres y este porcentaje aumenta hasta un 70% en mujeres de edad fértil. El siguiente estudio de caso trata de una paciente de 41 años de edad ingresada por presentar cuadro clínico de sangrado vaginal en abundante cantidad con presencia de coágulos más dolor abdominal de 48 horas de evolución, razón por la cual es hospitalizada. Se realizan exámenes de sangre y ecografía transvaginal, siendo esta última que confirmó la presencia de leiomioma localizada en el útero. El tratamiento que se aplicará ser la histerectomía El objetivo general será brindar cuidados de enfermería de calidad aplicando el Proceso de Atención de Enfermería en una paciente de 41 años de edad con leiomioma del útero, en el hospital de Guayaquil ‘’Dr. Albert Gilbert’’, para mejorar su problema de salud. Por la realización del caso clínico podemos mencionar que esta enfermedad es un problema real y potencial en las mujeres mayores de 35 años que pueden afectarlas no solo en su calidad de vida sino también emocionalmente. Este trabajo de investigación me permitió adquirir nuevos conocimientos acerca de esta enfermedad y sobre los cuidados de enfermería adecuados y necesarios que se deben brindar; y mediante la aplicación del proceso de atención de enfermería obtener la pronta recuperación de la paciente en base a su tratamiento.	es_ES
