Utilización de psicofármacos y sus consecuencias en pacientes con enfermedades catastróficas vih del hospital de salud pública “Sagrado Corazón de Jesús”, del cantón Quevedo, provincia de los Ríos.
Abstract
El propósito del presente informe de investigación es obtener datos sobre el manejo actual de psicofármacos por médicos no psiquiatras, detectar uso inadecuado y proponer políticas para el correcto empleo de los mismos.
Hasta hace poco más de una década se pensaba que las enfermedades catastróficas e infecciosas habían dejado de constituir una amenaza para el mundo desarrollado y que los nuevos desafíos a la salud pública vendrían de agresiones no infecciosas, como el cáncer, cardiopatías y enfermedades de tipo degenerativo. Tal confianza se vino abajo a principios del año ochenta con la aparición del Sida o VIH.
