dc.description.abstractEn el presente trabajo bibliográfico la información obtenida fue parafraseada, resumida y analizada a fin de obtener información relevante sobre el insecticida orgánico a partir de semillas del árbol de Neem (A. indica A) para el control de insectos chupadores en la pitahaya roja (H. undatus). Mediante el análisis de los resultados se realizan las siguientes conclusiones: Mediante el análisis de los resultados se realizan las siguientes conclusiones: Los productos del cultivo de pitahaya pueden contar con el extracto de semillas de Neem como otro insecticida natural para contrarrestar los problemas que tienen en su cultivo debido a los daños que ocasionan los insectos chupadores. En base al estudio realizado en este trabajo de investigación se ha podido detectar con varios autores que las semillas del Neem sirven como materia prima para la preparación de varios insecticidas biológicos para el control de insectos chupadores en el cultivo de pitahaya. El aceite extraído de las semillas del árbol de neem (A. indica), es una sustancia insecticida que actúa por contacto, ingestión o inhibición del crecimiento de los insectos chupadores, dependiendo finalmente de la dosis aplicada y su persistencia en la atmósfera. La aplicación de bioinsecticidas a base de aceite de neem en el cultivo de pitahaya tienen una efectividad sobre los insectos chupadores del 23 al 50 %, inhibiendo su alimentación y proceso de crecimiento. Los bioinsecticidas a base de neem representan una de las alternativas más seguras y económica a los pesticidas convencionales, debido a sus componentes biodegradables como la azadiractina.es_ES
