In the development of this research based on the “Biotic and abiotic factors that influence the distribution of phytoparasitic nematodes in rice cultivation (Oryza sativa L.).” in which the objective was set to analyze the biotic and abiotic factors that influence the distribution of the main phytoparasitic nematodes in rice cultivation. The methodology is determined to be based on a type of basic research, where it was developed under a descriptive-analytical approach, with a qualitative research design, in its development it determined the scale of rice production in Ecuador, life cycle of the nematodes, their characteristics, their definition, which ones, and how they affect the crop. Finally, the main biotic and abiotic factors and their effects on the propagation of nematodes in rice cultivation were identified. Regarding the results, biotic factors, such as Susceptible Hosts and the activity of antagonistic Organisms and abiotic factors, such as pH, humidity, soil texture, agricultural practices have a relationship in the propagation and proliferation of phytoparasitic nematodes in rice cultivation and production. In conclusion, it was demonstrated that certain biotic and abiotic factors affect the propagation of Meloidogyne spp, Aphelenchoides besseyi, and Hirschmanniella oryzae, depending on the environment and where the crop is located.es_ES
