In the context of a nationally and locally vital epidemiological investigation, a comprehensive study was conducted at the Enrique Ponce Luque Maternal Health Center in the city of Babahoyo during the period from November 2023 to April 2024. The main objective of this research was to analyze the factors associated with the transmission of the human papillomavirus (HPV), a public health concern at both national and local levels due to its high prevalence and potentially severe consequences on women's reproductive health. To address this concern, a detailed review of medical records was conducted, including histories, diagnoses, treatments, and test results, which facilitated the identification of factors associated with certain medical conditions. Among these variables were age, socioeconomic status, early onset of sexual activity, cultural and educational background, access to healthcare services, multiparous status, and involvement in sex work. The primary aim was to more accurately identify factors associated with HPV infection in this clinical context, in order to generate relevant information that could guide the development of more effective prevention and control strategies against this sexually transmitted infection. This analysis is not only crucial for better understanding the epidemiology and determinants of HPV at the local level, but also contributes to the generation of valuable data that can inform national-level public health policies and strategies. By delving into the understanding of factors associated with HPV transmission, the implementation of more effective preventive and control measures can be guided at both local and national levels, aiming to reduce the burden of this sexually transmitted infection and protect population health.es_ES
