| dc.description | Radius fractures are common in the pediatric population and can have a significant impact on the quality of life and development of children. Adequate management of these fractures is necessary to avoid short and long term complications and physiotherapy is essential for recovery. In the General Hospital IESS Babahoyo, there is a lack of specific studies evaluating the physiotherapeutic approach in children with radius fractures. It is for this reason that we proposed to evaluate the effectiveness of physiotherapeutic treatment in this group during the period from November 2023 to April 2024. The objective was to evaluate the physiotherapeutic treatment of radius fractures in children at the Hospital General IESS Babahoyo. A combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches was used, where parents of children with radius fractures treated at the hospital were surveyed to obtain data on the perception and experience of physiotherapeutic treatment. The results provided valuable information on the efficacy of physiotherapeutic treatment in children with radius fracture, which allowed identifying areas for improvement in care and optimization of rehabilitation outcomes, these support the importance of physiotherapy in the rehabilitation of these injuries and underline the need to continue researching and improving therapeutic approaches in this field. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | Las fracturas de radio son comunes en la población pediátrica y pueden tener un impacto significativo en la calidad de vida y el desarrollo de los niños. Un manejo adecuado de estas fracturas para evitar complicaciones a corto y largo plazo es la fisioterapia siendo así esencial en la recuperación. En el Hospital General IESS Babahoyo, hay una falta de estudios específicos que evalúen el enfoque fisioterapéutico en niños con fractura de radio. Es por este motivo que se propuso evaluar la efectividad del tratamiento fisioterapéutico en este grupo durante el período de noviembre de 2023 a abril de 2024. El objetivo fue evaluar el tratamiento fisioterapéutico en fracturas de radio en niños del Hospital General IESS Babahoyo. Se utilizó una combinación de enfoques cualitativos y cuantitativos, en donde se realizaron encuestas a los padres de niños con fractura de radio tratados en el hospital para obtener datos sobre la percepción y experiencia del tratamiento fisioterapéutico. Los resultados proporcionaron información valiosa sobre la eficacia del tratamiento fisioterapéutico en niños con fractura de radio, lo que permitió identificar áreas de mejora en la atención y optimización de los resultados de rehabilitación, estos respaldan la importancia de la fisioterapia en la rehabilitación de estas lesiones y subrayan la necesidad de continuar investigando y mejorando los enfoques terapéuticos en este campo. | es_ES |
