In the following research work we investigate the incidence, risk factors associated with an ankle sprain and apply instruments to measure the range of mobility, pain and physiotherapeutic treatment of this institution. A common injury affecting individuals of all ages and levels of physical activity, grade II ankle sprain involves partial involvement of the ankle ligaments, which can result in pain, swelling and limited mobility. Among soccer players in the Los Rios sports federation, grade II ankle sprain is an injury that affects sports performance. Through a descriptive and field work it helped us to obtain relevant data on the different causes, consequences and direct contact with the athletes with a sample of 90 athletes in which surveys were applied to collect the data. Important parameters were determined for the development of the work due to the study used a quantitative and qualitative approach to assess the degree of affectation, the Visual Analog Scale (VAS), measures the intensity of pain the patient. As well as the importance of physical therapy, RICE, therapeutic exercise in the functional recovery of the ankle, the need for an individualized approach that considers the specific needs of each patient, as well as their level of physical activity and recovery goals, is emphasized. In addition, prevention strategies aimed at reducing the risk of injury recurrence and promoting long-term ankle stability and strength are explored.es_ES
