| dc.description | This clinical case focuses on the adaptation of contact lenses in an 18-year-old female patient with decreased visual acuity. A comprehensive evaluation of ocular health will be carried out through several optometric examinations that include refractive prescription in order to determine the suitability of the appropriate contact lenses for the patient. On the other hand, the most appropriate contact lenses in terms of type, material and design will be carefully selected, considering the visual and comfort needs of the patient. In addition to this, it is proposed to provide details on the use and care of the lenses, as well as guidelines to guarantee a successful adaptation. In conclusion, a monitoring plan will be established to monitor the adaptation of the contact lenses, make adjustments if necessary and address any problems that may arise. The final objective is to improve the visual acuity and the problem of myopic astigmatism revealed in the patient's optometric examinations and her visual quality of life through a safe and effective adaptation of contact lenses. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | Este caso clínico se enfoca en la adaptación de lentes de contacto en una paciente femenina de 18 años con disminución de la agudeza visual. Se llevará a cabo una evaluación exhaustiva de la salud ocular esto a través de varios exámenes optométricos mismos que incluyen la graduación refractiva esto con el fin de poder determinar la idoneidad de los lentes de contacto adecuados para la paciente. Por otro lado, se seleccionarán cuidadosamente los lentes de contacto más adecuados en cuanto a tipo, material y diseño, considerando las necesidades visuales y de comodidad de la paciente. Adicional a ello se plantea proporcionar detalles sobre el uso y cuidado de los lentes, así como pautas para garantizar una adaptación exitosa. En conclusiones se establecerá un plan de seguimiento para controlar la adaptación de los lentes de contacto, realizar ajustes si es necesario y abordar cualquier problema que pueda surgir. El objetivo final es mejorar la agudeza visual y el problema de astigmatismo miópico revelado en los exámenes optométricos de la paciente y su calidad de vida visual a través de una adaptación segura y efectiva de los lentes de contacto. | es_ES |
