dc.descriptionDrug use depends not only on the types of drugs used by pregnant women, but also on the risk factors that promote drug use, including family and personal problems, domestic violence, economic deprivation and the social environment. The use of psychotropic substances has existed throughout the history of mankind, but currently, there is an increasing trend in the use of psychotropic substances among the population, particularly among pregnant women. Therefore, the objective of this study is to determine the risk factors derived from the consumption of psychotropic substances in pregnant women attended at the General Hospital Liborio Panchana Sotomayor of Santa Elena, November 2023 - April 2024. Developed with a quantitative methodological approach, complemented with a basic research, in cross-sectional mode and applying field research type, descriptive and analytical; providing greater relevance to this research work. The sample of this research study, a probabilistic sampling is applied; allowing the delineation of specific criteria for the selection of the sample, determining a sample of 133 pregnant women attending the General Hospital Liborio Panchana Sotomayor of Santa Elena. It was obtained as a result that the abuse of illegal substances is a real problem that is becoming increasingly prevalent and has alarming effects on consumers and the societies to which they belong throughout the world. Concluding in general that, this public health problem that drug use among pregnant women at the General Hospital Liborio Panchana Sotomayor Santa Elena is influenced by several factors, within which the age range and duration of drug use can be determined.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl consumo de drogas depende no sólo de los tipos de drogas que consumen las mujeres embarazadas, sino también de los factores de riesgo que promueven el consumo de drogas, incluidos los problemas familiares y personales, la violencia doméstica, las privaciones económicas y el entorno social. El uso de sustancias psicotrópicas ha existido a lo largo de la historia de la humanidad, pero en la actualidad, existe una tendencia al aumento del consumo de sustancias psicotrópicas entre la población, de manera particular en la población de mujeres embarazadas. Por lo cual, este trabajo tiene como objetivo Determinar los factores de riesgo derivados del consumo de sustancias psicotrópicas en gestantes atendidas en el Hospital General Liborio Panchana Sotomayor de Santa Elena, Noviembre 2023 – Abril 2024. Desarrollándose con un enfoque metodológico cuantitativo, complementada con una investigación básica, en modalidad transversal y aplicando tipo de investigación de campo, descriptiva y analítica; proporcionando mayor relevancia al presente trabajo investigativo. La muestra de este estudio investigativo, se aplica un muestreo probabilístico; permitiendo delinear criterios específicos para la selección de la muestra, determinando una muestra de 133 mujeres en estado de gestación que asisten al Hospital General Liborio Panchana Sotomayor de Santa Elena. Se obtuvo como resultado que el abuso de sustancias ilegales es un problema real que se está volviendo cada vez más prevalente y tiene efectos alarmantes en los consumidores y las sociedades a las que pertenecen en todo el mundo. Concluyendo en general que, este problema de salud pública que el consumo de drogas entre las mujeres embarazadas del Hospital General Liborio Panchana Sotomayor Santa Elena está influenciado por varios factores, dentro de los cuales se puede determinar el rango de edad y la duración del consumo de drogas.es_ES
