The study titled "Study of the Mother and Child Friendly Health Establishment Norm (ESAMYN), Gynecological Obstetric Pediatric University Hospital of Guayaquil. January-April 2024", aims to evaluate the level of compliance with the postpartum component of the ESAMYN norm at the hospital under study during the period from January to April 2024. The applied methodology is defined as investigative, field, descriptive, and cross-sectional. An inductive approach will be used to identify the causes of non-compliance with the norm and propose educational solutions. The research will be quantitative, using direct observations and surveys of nursing staff as data collection techniques. The main instruments will be the 05A form of the Public Health Ministry and a questionnaire designed to measure the nursing staff's knowledge about the ESAMYN norm. The results reveal a strong commitment to the quality of maternal-infant care, although a need for improvement was identified in training and the practical implementation of the ESAMYN norms. Competence in areas such as vital signs monitoring and the management of lochia was highlighted, but opportunities for improvement were seen in practices such as skin-to-skin contact and the promotion of breastfeeding. In conclusion, the research underscores the importance of focused educational strategies and the consistent application of humanized care practices to optimize postpartum care according to the ESAMYN norm.es_ES
