dc.description.abstractDesde la antigüedad hasta nuestros días, el juego en sus múltiples formas y variaciones ha formado parte del desarrollo humano. Prueba de ello, son los diversos juegos hallados en contextos arqueológicos como el caso del “Juego Real de Ur”, descubierto en una antigua ciudad sumeria del cual se ha conservado el tablero, las fichas, los dados y las reglas descritas en unas tablillas cuneiformes cuya antigüedad aproximada es de 4600años; el juego es una actividad fundamental para el desarrollo de destrezas y aprendizajes de los niños, ya que les permite potenciar su imaginación, explorar el medio ambiente en las que se desenvuelven, expresar su visión particular del mundo, manifestarla mediante su creatividad a través del lenguaje oral y corporal, y el desarrollo de habilidades socioemocionales y psicomotoras. Más que una oportunidad para divertirse, el juego enriquece el cerebro, el cuerpo y la vida del niño de una manera muy importante, ya que incide en su desarrollo y sano crecimiento. Jugar como estrategia para el desarrollo de destrezas en niños y niñas, mejora sus capacidades para planificar, organizar, relacionarse y regular sus emociones, además los ayuda con el lenguaje, el desarrollo de diferentes destrezas e incluso mediante el juego pueden sobrellevar el estrés, los docentes deben replantear el modo de enseñar a los niños y niñas a aprovechar el enorme potencial de aprendizaje.
