In Los Ríos, agriculture is the predominant economic activity and has experienced a notable evolution in terms of crops, varieties, methods, and tools used over time. A significant impact on the environment in which it is present and plays a crucial role in the social and economic activities of the people residing in that region, exerting various levels of pressure on the soil and causing its deterioration. In this sense, the research sought to: identify the chemical properties of the eroded soils in the CEDEGE Babahoyo area. For this purpose, samples were taken in 30 agricultural properties within the CEDEGE-Babahoyo Project area, as a primary requirement the planting of short-cycle crops. Continuous quantitative variables and inferential statistics (t test, mean, probability) were used. The systematic-stratified sampling method was used to select the farms. The variables studied were Hydrogen Potential, Cationic Exchange Capacity, Electrical Conductivity, Macroelements and Microelements. Data collection will be carried out once the samples have gone through the drying process using the oven and air-drying method. The pH levels in the sampled sectors present ranges that are between moderately acidic and practically neutral, in the case of the CEC ranges they are within what are considered medium levels. The EC ranges show values with problems in all the areas evaluated. The levels of macroelements such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and sulfur, as well as potassium, are adequate for the soils of the sector; however, calcium and magnesium levels may be considered inadequate. The values of the microelements zinc and boron are within the average; however, the levels of iron, copper and manganese can be considered toxic to crops.es_ES
