This investigative study focuses on identifying the persistent presence of intestinal parasites in cattle, focusing on a strategic area within the livestock herd of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences. Samples were carried out to address the problems that directly affect the productivity, economic and health aspects of this livestock. The various difficulties generated by the presence of these intestinal parasites stand out, which are detailed in the study. In addition, the information collected from various studies related to the topic was used as a source of analysis. Data collection tools were used directly on the farm, using specialized equipment to determine the different gastrointestinal parasites that affect cattle. In this context, intestinal samples were collected from 74 cattle and analyzed in the Laboratory of the Technical University of Babahoyo - Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, School of Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries and Veterinary Medicine using simple flotation techniques in order to identify gastrointestinal parasites. present in animals. The following results were obtained: of the total of 74 samples, 50 cases were negative and 24 were positive for the presence of intestinal parasites, which were: Cooperia spp 12%, Trichuris spp 3%, Ostertagia 7% and Toxocara 11%. Where 33 males with positive cases from 18 cattle (24%), while females from 41 cows tested positive for 6, resulting in 8%, giving a total of 32% of positive cases in sex.es_ES
