In the study of this case, the objective was set; analyze the phytosanitary control of vascular wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum in the cultivation of naranjilla (Solanum quitoense), in Ecuador. In which it was established as a methodology, it was based on a basic research, with a qualitative approach, where the information obtained corresponding to books, current contents, articles, indexed magazines, other important sources such as conferences, in addition to considering scientific bibliographic references that contributed to the documentary investigative study. In results, the symptoms and damage caused by Fusarium oxysporum in naranjilla provides a comprehensive understanding of the negative impacts of this pathogen that originates in plants, it was found that one of the most prominent symptoms of F. oxysporum infection in the naranjilla is vascular wilting. In conclusion, the specific symptoms caused by Fusarium oxysporum in the naranjilla crop were exhaustively detailed. The presence of vascular wilting, leaf yellowing, and root necrosis provides a clear understanding of the negative effects of infection by this fungus in the plant health and development. In recommendation, it is indicated to adopt integrated pest management practices, this involves combining biological, chemical and cultural strategies to control the spread of the fungus, the implementation of management that allows addressing the disease from different fronts, thus improving the effectiveness and sustainability of the phytosanitary control measures.es_ES
