This research addressed the issue of insecticide residue in vegetables, due to the large amount of foods that are contaminated today and that are part of the common diet of each person. The main objective of the research was to detail the residueity of insecticides in vegetables, in addition to being able to determine which are the vegetables with the highest residuality index and how we should handle this type of food in order to obtain the best benefits without harming ourselves with the remains of some chemical, we could find that the most contaminated vegetables are usually broccoli, Celery and cabbage, the handling that must be carried out with the most affected vegetables from the consumer's point of view is to go through a thorough cleaning process with water. Based on the analysis carried out with different types of bibliographic sources, it is concluded that the presence of residues of certain insecticides in vegetables depends on several factors, in addition to the fact that we must raise awareness to be able to take care of our health and our planet, the presence of insecticides in these foods is very harmful both for farmers who are the ones who distribute food and us who are the consumers on a daily basis. That is why good agricultural practices such as crop rotation, the presence of organic fertilizers in plantations and having great training in these issues are so important.es_ES
