| dc.description | For this research, the agricultural production units (UPA) with short cycle (transitional) crops of the Montalvo canton and surrounding parishes will be taken into account as the population. To determine the number of samples, the information obtained directly by direct communication was used. In the MAGAP- Babahoyo offices, where they estimate 1,250 producers. The conclusions determine that in the Montalvo canton, province of Los Ríos, it is composed of farmers who are largely male with 79% and 21% female, the majority with a high school academic level (53%); most farmers have their own land to be able to plant their crops. Farmers consider the use of machinery for their agricultural exploitation to be very important, generally using it for more than 10 years; the majority of producers rent or lease the machinery for the agricultural exploitation, without receiving any advice, using tractor, combine, fumigator (boom), harrow, and seeder. The tractor with a power of 100 to 110 hp and the combine with 100 and/or 110 hp, are the most used in the town; producers pay off the tractor at cost/block: $20; harvester cost / sack or qq: 1.00 to 3 $; fumigator cost/block: $10; harrow cost / block pass: $20; fertilizer spreader cost/block $10; motor pump cost/day: 15$; rice seeder cost / block: 10 - 30$ and corn seeder cost / block: 30 to 45$, emphasizing that the majority of farmers are satisfied with the payment of the cost/hour of renting the machinery and the farmers indicate that it is normal the degree of difficulty in renting agricultural machinery in the area, 100% of them indicating that the machinery used is used – in poor technical condition – but with working capacity. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | Para la presente investigación se tomará en cuenta como población a las unidades de producción agrícola (UPA) con cultivos de ciclo corto (transitorios) del cantón Montalvo y parroquias aledañas, para determinar el número de muestras, se utilizó la información obtenida directamente por comunicación directa en las oficinas de MAGAP-Babahoyo, donde estiman 1250 productores. Las conclusiones determinan que en el cantón Montalvo, provincia de Los Ríos está compuesto por agricultores en gran parte de género masculino con un 79% y un 21% de género femenino, la mayor parte con nivel académico de secundaria (53 %); la mayor parte de los agricultores poseen terreno propio para poder realizar la siembra de sus cultivos. Los agricultores consideran muy importante el uso de maquinaria para su explotación agrícola, utilizándola generalmente más de 10 años; los productores en su mayoría alquilan o arriendan la maquinaria para la explotación agrícola, sin recibir ningún asesoramiento, utilizando tractor, cosechadora, fumigadora (aguilón), rastra, y sembradora. El tractor con una potencia de 100 a 110 hp y la cosechadora con 100 y/o 110 hp, son los más usados en el cantón ; los productores cancelan el tractor a costo / cuadra: 20 $; cosechadora costo / saca o qq: 1,00 a 3 $; fumigadora costo / cuadra: 10 $; rastra costo / pasada cuadra: 20$; abonadora costo / cuadra 10 $; bomba a motor costo / día: 15 $; sembradora arroz costo / cuadra: 10 - 30$ y sembradora maíz costo / cuadra: 30 a 45$, recalcando que la mayoría de los agricultores están satisfechos con el pago del costo/hora del alquiler de la maquinaria y los agricultores indican que es normal el grado de dificultad para alquilar la maquinaria agrícola en la zona, indicando el 100 % de ellos que la maquinaria empleada es usada – mal estado técnico – pero con capacidad de trabajo. | es_ES |
