The study carried out was based on the stated objective, to establish the current problem of erosive processes in the Ecuadorian Andean region. In which the methodology was developed through the compilation of all types of information, carrying out detailed research on the different free access web pages, scientific articles, degree theses, sources and bibliographic documentation available on different digital platforms. In results, multiple elements have been identified that affect this phenomenon, unsustainable agricultural practices, such as deforestation for the expansion of crops, have led to a significant loss of the vegetation cover that normally protects the soil from erosion, in addition, the steep slopes present in the Andean topography increase susceptibility to water erosion, especially during extreme weather events, resulting in the loss of the fertile soil layer. In conclusion, it has been possible to establish in a clear and detailed manner the current problem of erosive processes in the Ecuadorian Andean region, it is revealed that the magnitude of this problem, highlighting the importance of addressing it urgently to preserve the quality of the soil and guarantee. The sustainability of agricultural and environmental activities in the region. In recommendation, implement immediate soil conservation measures, these measures could include the application of reforestation techniques in critical areas, the construction of water and soil retention structures.es_ES
