| dc.description | The present research was based on the compilation of information on alternatives for the improvement of agricultural production in citrus crops. Different sources of information indicate that citrus fruits are crops of economic importance for Ecuador because they constitute the daily diet of the population not only nationally but also worldwide. | dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación se fundamentó en la compilación de información sobre alternativas para el mejoramiento de producción agrícola en los cultivos cítricos. Distintas fuentes de información nos indican que los cítricos son cultivos de importancia económica para el Ecuador, debido a que constituyen a la alimentación diaria de la población no solo a nivel nacional sino también a nivel mundial. El manejo integrado de plagas y enfermedades es la estrategia racional más comúnmente aceptada para reducir los daños por plagas, además de ser una práctica cultural orientada al control eficientemente con el objetivo de disminuir el uso de insecticidas químicos en los cítricos. El uso de esta nueva tecnología para el manejo agronómico de los cultivos citrícolas, es una herramienta a tener en cuenta, en nuestro sistema de producción, como una buena alternativa para mejorar la rentabilidad de los cultivos. Es necesario implementar nueva metodología para estimar el rendimiento de los cítricos con alta precisión o al menos con un error menor que el de los métodos visuales puede contribuir a aumentar la rentabilidad económica de los agricultores y reducir los costos de producción. En la presente investigación tratamos sobre las diferentes alternativas que existen para mejorar la productividad agronómica de los cítricos. | es_ES |
