dc.descriptionThe present clinical case is focused on a 16-year-old male patient who presents decreased ankle dorsiflexion capacity and alteration in gait, balance and stability plus flat feet of congenital origin and unspecified obesity. In the interview that was conducted with the mother at the time of the patient's admission, she stated that approximately a month ago her son suffered an Achilles tendon injury. Which led to surgery on the right club foot (Achilles tendon plasty). There were no post-operative complications during the days he was hospitalized for proper monitoring. In his file we can see that his vital signs were normal. However, his anthropometric measurements showed that the patient is overweight at 82kg and a height of 175cm, giving a BMI of 26.8. Therefore, he was advised to improve his eating habits and follow an adequate diet to improve his health and avoid complications such as obesity or chronic non-communicable diseases. After the interview with the patient and family member (mother), it is explained that manual therapy, passive mobilizations, gait re-education exercises on parallel bars, hula hoops, ramp stairs, crumpling the towel with the feet, will be applied. rolling the ball from front to back, lifting the ball with the heels and toe exercises, in order to improve their physical condition through the physiotherapeutic interventions that will be provided to the patient during the week at the Specialized Education Institution " A new sunrise".es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente caso clínico está enfocado en paciente de sexo masculino de 16 años de edad que presenta disminución de la capacidad de flexión dorsal del tobillo y alteración en la marcha, el equilibrio y la estabilidad más pie plano de origen congénito y obesidad no especificada. En la entrevista que se le realizó a la madre en el momento de la admisión del paciente refirió que aproximadamente hace un mes su hijo sufrió una lesión del tendón de Aquiles. Lo cual conllevó a que se le realizara una cirugía del pie equino derecho (plastia tendón de Aquiles). No hubo complicaciones post-operatorio durante los dias que estuvo hospitalizado para su debido control. En su expediente podemos observar que sus signos vitales fueron normales. Sin embargo, sus medidas antropométricas demostraron que el paciente se encuentra en sobrepeso con 82kg y talla de 175cm dando un I.M.C de 26.8. Por lo cual, se lo aconsejó que mejore sus hábitos alimenticios y que siga una dieta adecuada para mejorar su estado de salud y evitar complicaciones como la obesidad o enfermedades crónicas no trasmisibles. Luego de la entrevista al paciente y familiar (madre) se explica que se procederá a aplicar la terapia manual, movilizaciones pasivas, ejercicios de reeducación de la marcha en barras paralelas, hula-hula, escalera de rampa, arrugar la toalla con los pies, rodar la pelota de adelante hacia atrás, levantar la pelota con los talones y ejercicios de puntilla, para así mejorar su condición física a través de las intervenciones fisioterapéuticas que se le brindará al paciente en el transcurso de la semana en la Institución de Educación Especializada “Un Nuevo Amanecer”.es_ES
