| dc.description | The Technical University of Babahoyo (UTB) faces significant challenges in managing its Academic Records systems due to an increase in student enrollment and academic offerings. These challenges affect the response times and efficiency of the current technological platforms, potentially leading to registration errors and thereby negatively impacting the academic experience. This research project aims to analyze and justify the application of distributed infrastructure systems as a viable and cost-efficient solution to the problems of scalability and robustness. Through detailed analysis, this study proposes that adopting a distributed architecture can improve the efficiency, speed, and resilience of UTB's systems, particularly during high-demand periods like enrollment processes. | dc.description.abstract | La Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo (UTB) enfrenta retos significativos en la gestión de sus sistemas de Registros Académicos debido al crecimiento en el número de estudiantes y la oferta académica. Estos desafíos afectan los tiempos de respuesta y la eficiencia de las plataformas tecnológicas actuales, pudiendo resultar en errores de registro y, por lo tanto, impactar negativamente la experiencia académica. El presente proyecto de investigación busca analizar y justificar la aplicación de sistemas de infraestructura distribuida como una solución viable y costo-eficiente a los problemas de escalabilidad y robustez. A través de un análisis detallado, este estudio propone que la adopción de una arquitectura distribuida puede mejorar la eficiencia, velocidad y resistencia de los sistemas de la UTB, particularmente durante periodos de alta demanda como los procesos de matriculación.
