In this context, and looking at disturbing security trends affecting both the country and the province of Los Rios, this study examines facial recognition systems and how they can improve security and control. access at Babahoyo Technical University for 2023, given the disturbing security trends that are affecting affecting both the country and the province of Los Rios. The increase in crime and threats in these areas has required the introduction of innovative solutions to protect academic communities and improve security and control of access to the school. This study not only explores the technical and theoretical aspects of facial recognition, but also the implementation of a prototype in the university environment of the Technological University of Babahoyo. Ethical and data protection aspects have been considered, as well as possible challenges in the implementation of this technology. | dc.description.abstract | En un mundo donde los avances tecnológicos son cada vez más acelerados, la seguridad se ha convertido en una preocupación urgente, tanto a nivel mundial como local. En este contexto, y ante las alarmantes tendencias de inseguridad que están afectando tanto a la nación como a la provincia de Los Ríos, la presente investigación examina el tema de los sistemas de reconocimiento facial y cómo pueden mejorar la seguridad y el control de acceso en la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo durante el 2023, tomando en cuenta las preocupantes tendencias de inseguridad que afecta tanto al país como a la provincia de Los Ríos. El aumento de la delincuencia y las amenazas en estas áreas ha requerido la introducción de soluciones innovadoras para proteger a las comunidades académicas y mejorar la seguridad y el control del acceso a la institución. Este estudio no solo explora los aspectos técnicos y teóricos del reconocimiento facial, sino también la implementación de un prototipo en el entorno universitario de la Universidad Tecnológica de Babahoyo. Se han considerado aspectos éticos y de protección de datos, así como posibles desafíos en la implementación de esta tecnología. Esta investigación contribuirá a la creación de un entorno más seguro y confiable para la comunidad universitaria y, al mismo tiempo, generará un impacto positivo en la lucha contra la inseguridad a nivel local y nacional. | es_ES |
