dc.descriptionObesity in pregnancy is considered a public health problem since it can cause both obstetric and neonatal risks, as well as being frequently related to gestational diabetes, causing several different factors during pregnancy. The main objective is to evaluate obesity and its relationship with gestational diabetes in patients admitted to joint accommodation area 1 of the University Hospital of Guayaquil from June to October 2023. This study had a quantitative approach, an observational and analytical study through the review of visible and complete clinical histories of pregnant women diagnosed with obesity and gestational diabetes in the period from June to October 2023. It was based on knowing in depth the population studied who It was a total of 90 hospitalized patients in the period June-October 2023 and propose alternative solutions through different nursing activities that improve their quality of life. The research was staged at the Guayaquil hospital in the joint accommodation area 1 where the data collection was carried out through the review of medical records, observation of which all the necessary information for the study of this project was extracted. The flow of obese patients is a population of adolescents, in addition the theorizing of Jean Watson was applied since this model is based on person-centered care, offering humanized care to hospitalized patients.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa obesidad en el embarazo se considera un problema de salud pública ya que puede provocar tantos riesgos obstétricos como neonatales así mismo relacionado de manera frecuente la diabetes gestacional provocando diversos factores diversos durante el embrazo. El objetivo principal evaluar la obesidad y su relación con la diabetes gestacional en pacientes ingresados en el área de alojamiento conjunto 1 del Hospital Universitario de Guayaquil periodo junio – octubre 2023. Este estudio tuvo un enfoque cuantitativo, estudio observacional y analítico mediante la revisión de historias clínicas visibles y completas de las gestantes diagnosticadas con obesidad y diabetes gestacional en el periodo de junio a octubre del 2023. Se basó en conocer a fondo a la población estudiada que fue un total de 90 pacientes hospitalizados en el periodo junio octubre 2023 y proponer alternativas de solución mediante las diferentes actividades de enfermería que mejoren su calidad de vida. La investigación fue de escenario en el hospital Guayaquil en el área de alojamiento conjunto 1 donde se realizó la recopilación de datos mediante la revisión de historias clínicas, observación de las cuales se extrajo toda la información necesaria para el estudio de este proyecto. La fluencia de pacientes obesas es una población de adolescentes, además se aplicó la teorizante de Jean Watson ya que este modelo se basa en el cuidado centrado en la persona, ofreciendo un cuidado humanizado a los pacientes hospitalizados.es_ES
