The present research work aims to address the challenges arising from the presence of the Thrips. in tomato cultivation (Solanum lycopersicum). It considers this to be a problem of vital importance for the economy and human nutrition, given the significance of tomatoes in human food and health. Ensuring productivity, production, and quality of this crop is crucial; hence, it is vital to manage Thrips control effectively and efficiently as a tomato pest. This research finds a variety of methods to control. Thrips in tomato cultivation. These methods include the use of chemical pesticides, biological control, physical traps, and cultural practices. Each method has advantages and limitations to consider before deciding. The choice of the most proper method will depend on factors such as the type of Thrips present in the crop, the severity of infestation, the economic threshold justifying field intervention, and environmental conditions. The importance of constant monitoring of Thrips populations to decide best timing for implementing control methods is emphasized. Additionally, there is a need to train farmers in accurately showing Thrips species and implementing control strategies appropriately. It is recognized that resistance to chemical pesticides and the associated costs are significant challenges, underscoring the importance of looking for more sustainable and environmentally friendly methodologies for controlling this pest in tomatoes. Resistance to chemical pesticides and the economic and environmental costs associated with their use were crucial considerations before recommending the most suitable control method(ies).es_ES
