dc.descriptionThe present research work was carried out at Rancho 2 Potrillas, belonging to the Montalvo canton. Once the trial began, 2 groups were carried out in which group 1 used the application of an intra-vaginal device plus estradiol benzoate in 2.0 ml where we will have follicular waves in the reproductive system of the cow. After day 8, the device was removed and three equine chorionic hormones were applied, in a dose of 2 ml, Prostaglandin in a dose of 2 ml, and Estradiol Cypionate in a dose of 1 ml, which help promote greater ovulation. 52 hours after removal of the device, artificial insemination was carried out. In group 2, injectable progesterone (2 ml) was evaluated without the application of the device on day 0, while on day 8 the same hormones were applied waiting 52 hours to be inseminated (10 animals with intravaginal device and 10 animals with injectable progesterone). For the development of this research, the Completely Randomized experimental design was used, with two treatments (Progesterone Hormone and Control) and eight repetitions. Comparisons of treatment means will be made with the Tukey test at 5% probability. The conclusion determined that it is necessary to use the intra-vaginal device plus estradiol benzoate in 2.0 ml and the injectable progesterone hormone, since both obtained the same percentage of pregnancy in Jersey cows in the Montalvo canton.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo de investigación se llevó a cabo en el Rancho 2 potrillas, perteneciente al cantón Montalvo. Una vez iniciado el ensayo, se realizaron 2 grupos en el cual al grupo 1 se utilizó la aplicación de un dispositivo intra vaginal más benzoato de estradiol en 2,0 ml donde se presentan ondas foliculares en el aparato reproductor de la vaca. Posteriormente al día 8 se retiró el dispositivo y se aplicaron tres hormonas Coriónica equina, en dosis de 2 ml, Prostaglandina en dosis de 2 ml y Cipionato de estradiol en dosis de 1 ml las cuales ayudan que exista mayor ovulación. 52 horas post retiro del dispositivo, se efectuó la inseminación artificial. Al grupo 2 se evaluó la progesterona inyectable (2 ml) sin la aplicación de dispositivo en el día 0, mientas que el día 8 se aplicaran las mismas hormonas esperando 52 horas para ser inseminadas (12 animales con dispositivo intravaginal y 12 animales con progesterona inyectable). Para el desarrollo de esta investigación se utilizó el diseño experimental Completamente al Azar, con dos tratamientos (Hormona de progesterona y Testigo) y ocho repeticiones. Las comparaciones de las medias de tratamiento se efectuarán con la prueba de Tukey al 5 % de probabilidad. La conclusión determinó que es necesario utilizar el dispositivo intra vaginal más benzoato de estradiol en 2,0 ml y la hormona de progesterona inyectable, ya que ambos obtuvieron el mismo porcentaje de preñez en vacas Jersey en el cantón Montalvo.
