This document addressed the issue of the agronomic behavior of Chinese potato cultivars (Colocasia esculenta) in Ecuador. It is one of the tubers of great nutritional importance because it has a high carbohydrate and starch content. It currently occupies fourteenth place among essential horticultural crops. The Main Objective is to determine the agronomic behavior of Chinese potato cultivars in Ecuador. One of the key aspects in the agronomic behavior of Chinese potato cultivars is their ability to grow in different types of soils and climatic conditions. The plant shows a remarkable tolerance to moist soils. Colocasia esculenta remains a topic of constant interest in agriculture. As global challenges such as climate change and food security are faced, understand and improve adaptability, resistance. The Methodology was executed based on information in updated texts, web pages, magazines, scientific articles, virtual libraries and all bibliographic material valuable for the development of this research. The results obtained were alternatives to expand the Chinese potato market, improve its yield and productivity, control different problems in the crop such as pest diseases. It was concluded that agronomic management has an ease of resistance to pests, but it is also indicated that the planting distance influences the production and quality of the harvest. The Chinese potato requires attention to weed control, regulated irrigation, adequate fertilization and pest and disease monitoring and it is recommended that farmers choose to grow plants at higher planting densities, to achieve higher corm yields.es_ES
