dc.descriptionThe purpose of this case study is to present an analysis of supply management and its importance in the acquisition, storage and distribution of finished products to carry out the marketing process and thus meet the needs of customers in a timely manner and generating income for the company. The research focus is the "Almacén Mairita", a business located in the parish of Isla De Bejucal, Canton Baba, whose line of business is the sale of stationery, clothing and accessories. The results show that the distribution processes of the products that the proposed company has present a significant level in the second semester of the year 2022 with high sales, in addition to an increase in its suppliers in that period, however, the first semester presented sales that covered the expenses, but did not generate additional income. It is concluded that the customers were satisfied with the facilities and the business environment as well as the variety of designs and brands they have, but the problem was in the level of inventory turnover which presented a lower level than normal, as a result after applying the KPIs it was decided that the demand should be studied to determine which products have greater output and which are those that are sold more slowly and thus be able to improve supply management.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl propósito de este estudio de caso es presentar un análisis sobre la gestión de abastecimiento y su importancia en la adquisición, almacenamiento y distribución de productos terminados para llevar a cabo el proceso de comercialización y de esa forma satisfacer las necesidades de los clientes de manera oportuna y generando ingresos para la empresa. El foco de investigación es el “Almacén Mairita” un negocio que se encuentra ubicado en la parroquia Isla De Bejucal perteneciente al Cantón Baba, cuyo giro comercial es la venta de artículos de papelería, prendas de vestir y accesorios. Los resultados muestran que los procesos de distribución de los productos que tiene la empresa propuesta presentan un significativo nivel en el segundo semestre del año 2022 con ventas elevadas, además de un incremento en sus proveedores en dicho periodo, sin embargo, el primer semestre presento ventas que cubrieron los gastos, pero no generaron ingresos adicionales. Se concluye que los cliente estaban satisfechos con las instalaciones y el ambiente del negocio además por la variedad de diseños y marcas que tienen, pero el problema estaba en el nivel de rotación del inventario el mismo que presentaba un nivel inferior a lo normal, como resultado después de aplicar los KPI se decidió que se debe estudiar la demanda para determinar que productos tienen mayor salida y cuales son aquellos que se venden más lentamente y así poder mejorar la gestión de abastecimiento.es_ES
