| dc.description | The learning difficulties of boys and girls with difficulties or disabilities affect the way in which a child learns to read, write, speak and do calculations, are caused by differences in the brain, most often in the way it works, but sometimes times also in its structure. These differences affect the way the brain processes information. Learning difficulties or disabilities are often discovered once a child attends school and has learning difficulties that do not improve over time, a child may have more than one learning disability. Learning disabilities can last a person's lifetime, but they can still be successful with the right educational support. Boys and girls will learn many life skills: listening and speaking, for example, or reading, writing and math, some may be more difficult to learn than others. If the child has had appropriate learning experiences and instructions, but is unable to keep up with their peers, it is important to find out why and how to help. Children with learning difficulties or disabilities can be successful in school, work, and in relationships. Children with difficulties or disabilities can benefit from help that uses their strength and addresses any area of need. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | Los aprendizajes de niños y niñas con dificultad o discapacidad afectan la manera en la que un niño aprende a leer, escribir, hablar y hacer cálculos, son causadas por diferencias en el cerebro, con mayor frecuencia en la forma en la que funciona, pero a veces también en su estructura. Estas diferencias afectan la forma en la que cerebro procesa la información. Las dificultades o discapacidades del aprendizaje a menudo se descubren una vez que el niño y niña asisten a la escuela y tienen dificultades de aprendizajes que no mejora con el tiempo, un niño puede tener mas de una discapacidad del aprendizaje. Las discapacidades del aprendizaje pueden durar toda la vida de una persona, pero está todavía puede tener éxito con el apoyo educativo adecuado.
