dc.descriptionThe present investigation was carried out in the Quevedo Canton belonging to the province of Los Ríos with the students of the Santa Rosa Sector - Los Chirijos of the Quevedo Canton, with the purpose of determining the influence of television content on school performance, this is due to that children are susceptible to television from an early age because they prefer entertainment-oriented programming to educational programming, which causes them to spend a lot of time in front of the television and lowers their academic performance. And it is that the time that young children spend in front of the television is time that could be dedicated to vital activities such as reading, doing school work, playing, interacting with the family and social development. Therefore, in order to meet the objective of determining the influence of television content on school performance in this research, the quantitative and qualitative types of research were used, in addition to the descriptive analytical method, on the other hand, the Survey was the technique used in this research allowing a total of 150 students to be taken as a sample.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación fue realizada en el Cantón Quevedo perteneciente a la provincia de Los Ríos con los estudiantes Del Sector Santa Rosa – Los Chirijos del Cantón Quevedo, con el propósito de determinar la influencia de los contenidos televisivos en el rendimiento escolar, esto se debe a que los niños son susceptibles a la televisión desde pequeños porque prefieren la programación orientada al entretenimiento a la educativa, lo que hace que pasen mucho tiempo frente al televisor y baja su rendimiento académico. Y es que el tiempo que los niños pequeños pasan frente al televisor es tiempo que podría dedicarse a actividades vitales como leer, hacer el trabajo escolar, jugar, interactuar con la familia y el desarrollo social. Por lo tanto, con la finalidad de cumplir el objetivo de determinar la influencia de los contenidos televisivos en el rendimiento escolar en esta investigación se utilizaron los tipos de investigación cuantitativo y cualitativo, además del método analítico descriptivo, por otro lado, la Encuesta fue la técnica utilizada en esta investigación permitiendo tomar como muestra a un total de 150 estudiantes.es_ES
