dc.descriptionMyopia is an error considered one of the main causes of visual impairment of people worldwide, its prevalence is rising alarmingly according to data from the World Health Organization. The present investigation is based on the study of a 22-year-old female patient who has high myopia problems; which, she tends a clinical picture characterized by the following symptoms: blurred vision of distant objects, visual fatigue, headaches when she present allergy problems, excess tearing in the eyes, eye irritation, the objective of the study is to be able to analyze visual health for the application of contact lenses as a solution option that helps improve their quality of life. Physical, objective and complementary examinations were carried out; attribution for which, the use of descriptive and observational research on the information shown by the patient under study was considered, the purpose of which was to obtain as much information as possible about the patient´s condition. The results of the clinical examination allowed us to establish that the visual acuity of the patient without correction was OD: 20/100, LE: 20/200 In addition, it is concluded that the accommodation of contact lenses improved the visual health of the patient. patient where he presented monocular visual acuity of 20/70 and binocular of 20/20, which are adequate indicators regarding the vision of the person studied.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa miopía es un error considerado una de las principales causas de discapacidad visual de las personas a nivel mundial, su prevalencia se va elevando alarmante según datos de la Organización Mundial de la Salud. La presente investigación se basa en el estudio de una paciente femenina de 22 años de edad que tiene problemas de miopía alta; el cual, tiende un cuadro clínico caracterizado por los siguientes síntomas: visión borrosa de objetos lejanos, fatiga visual, dolores de cabeza cuando presenta problemas de alergia, exceso de lagrimeo en los ojos, irritación ocular. El objetivo del estudio es poder analizar la salud visual para la aplicación de lentes de contacto como opción de solución que ayude a mejorar su calidad de vida. Se realizaron exámenes físicos, objetivos y complementarios; atribución por el cual, se consideró el uso de una investigación descriptiva y observacional sobre la información que mostró el paciente objeto de estudio, cuyo propósito fue obtener la mayor información posible sobre el estado del paciente. Los resultados de la exploración clínica permitieron establecer que la agudeza visual de la paciente sin corrección fue de OD: 20/100, OI: 20/200. Además, se forma como conclusión que la acomodación de lentes de contacto mejoró la salud visual de la paciente, donde presentó una agudeza visual monocular de 20/70 y binocular de 20/20, los cuales son indicadores adecuados con respecto a la visión de la persona estudiada.es_ES
