| dc.description.abstract | En este caso se estudia las afecciones de una catarata congénita y su valoración optométrica post operatorio así como también su tratamiento, y un correcto seguimiento para el complemento de esta cirugía, se realizaron pruebas objetivas con ayuda del autorefractometro y queratómetro digital donde se encontró como resultado una miopía y astigmatismo corneal, además mediante una prueba subjetiva se encontró una pérdida de acomodación debido a la pseudofaquia, en la cual se pudo constatar que debido a la catarata congénita binocular se desencadenaron diversos errores refractivos, se desarrolló ambliopía a causa de un mal desarrollo en el ojo izquierdo, por su demorada intervención, en cuanto al tratamiento, se emplea el uso de lente aéreo esfero-cilindro progresivo y transition el cual posee una graduación progresiva, brindándole solución en la compensación de su visión y así poder distinguir objetos en cercana y lejana distancia el cual, dentro de sus cualidades, esta lente oftálmica le permite realizar sus trabajos académicos en el computador y así desempeñarse con más facilidad y confort en su día a día además de una protección fotosensible.
