dc.descriptionPseudo myopia is caused by an excess of accommodation and is generated by bad visual habits or excessive work in near vision. Its main symptoms are asthenopia, headache, blurred vision, difficulty changing vision from near to far, these appear after long working time. In the present case we have a 31-year-old female patient, a teacher in the computer area, who presents for consultation due to visual acuity problems. Objective: to identify the causes of pseudo myopia in a 31-year-old female patient, theoretically supporting the diagnosis of this clinical case. Method: The deductive and inductive method was applied, analyzing the data from the tests performed on the patient. Result: the exams reveal normal eye movements, presenting pseudo myopia due to accommodative excess. Conclusions: when a person presents problems in visual acuity, it is necessary to carry out the pertinent tests to rule out this type of problem, pseudo myopia can be treated through visual therapy and it is necessary for patients to acquire visual health care practices. The shortcomings in visual acuity are caused by the excessive use of electronic equipment. Visual therapy and rest are recommended.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa seudo miopía es causada por un exceso de acomodación y se genera por malos hábitos visuales o exceso de trabajo en visión próxima sus principales síntomas son la astenopia, cefalea, visión borrosa, dificultad para cambiar de visión de cerca de lejos, estos aparecen después de un tiempo prolongado de trabajo. En el presente caso tenemos una paciente femenina de 31 años, docente del área informática, que se presenta consulta por problemas en agudeza visual. Objetivo: identificar las causas que originan la seudo miopía en paciente femenino de 31 años, fundamentando de manera teórica el diagnóstico de este caso clínico. Método se aplicó el método deductivo e inductivo analizando los datos de los exámenes realizados en la paciente. Resultado: los exámenes revelan movimientos oculares normales, presentando seudo miopía por exceso acomodativo. Conclusiones: cuando una persona presenta problemas en agudeza visual es necesario realizar las pruebas pertinentes para descartar este tipo de problemas, las seudo miopía puede ser tratada mediante terapia visual y es necesario que los pacientes adquieran prácticas de cuidado de la salud visual. Las falencias en agudeza visual son causadas por el uso excesivo de equipos electrónicos se recomienda terapia visual y descanso.es_ES
