| dc.description | Lacrimal disturbance or dry eye as it is known is when tears are unable to drain normally, causing the eyes to become irritated or watery. This is caused by a partial or complete obstruction in the tear secretion system. In this clinical case we proceed to perform a set of processes to a 22-year-old male patient who comes to optometric consultation for presenting burning, itching, red eyes and gritty sensation in the views, he mentions that for 6 months he has been using treatment for acne and the medication he uses is Isotretinoin. He means that he did research on this treatment and that as a side effect is the dryness of the mucosa, including the tear film. The main objective is to improve the patient's quality of life after the procedures performed by the ophthalmologist, when the treatment was started the ophthalmologist indicated that the evaporative dry eye syndrome or dry keratoconjunctivitis is something that can be treated very normally with proper control, hoping that the reactions to treatment are favorable, so that he can perform his daily activities without any complications. The patient showed that he felt well, and that he complied with the established treatment achieving the expected results. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | La alteración lagrimal u ojo seco como se le conoce es cuando las lágrimas no pueden drenar de manera normal, lo que provoca que los ojos se irriten o estén llorosos. Esto es provocado por una obstrucción en partes o completa en el sistema de secreción lagrimal. En este caso clínico se procede a realizar un conjunto de procesos a un paciente masculino de 22 años que acude a consulta optométrica por presentar ardor, comezón, ojos rojos y sensación de arenosidad en las vistas, menciona que desde hace 6 meses usa tratamiento para el acné y el medicamento que usa es la Isotretinoina. Quiere decir que se investigó sobre este tratamiento y que como efecto secundario está la resequedad de la mucosa, entre ellos la película lagrimal. El objetivo principal es mejorar la calidad de vida del paciente luego de los procedimientos que le realiza el oftalmólogo, cuando se dio inicio el tratamiento el oftalmólogo se le indico que el síndrome de ojo seco evaporativo o queratoconjuntivitis seca es algo que se puede tratar con mucha normalidad llevando un control apropiado, esperando que las reacciones al tratamiento sean favorables, para que pueda realizar sus actividades diarias sin ningún tipo de complicaciones. El paciente mostró sentirse bien, y que cumplió con el tratamiento establecido consiguiendo los resultados esperados. | es_ES |
