| dc.description | In the clinical case of a 63-year-old patient with community-acquired pneumonia, in which the general objective was to analyze the intervention of the respiratory therapist in the care of a female patient. Community-acquired pneumonia is a disease that is characterized by being an acute infection of the lower respiratory tract, essentially affecting the alveoli, which suffer abnormalities such as the accumulation of secretions, it is one of the easiest pathologies to diagnose by means of radiological examinations due to the opacity that is evident. The importance of taking care of this pathology is based from the diagnostic method to the treatment that is going to be applied, which is essential in the intervention carried out by the respiratory therapy professional so that the patient overcomes this pathology, it must be managed accordingly. the most appropriate way and offer alternatives taking into account the patient's oxygenation, guaranteeing a permeable airway. In conclusion, it is important to indicate that the work of the respiratory therapist in this case was vital for the treatment of pneumonia, in this case respiratory maneuvers and activities were carried out to improve the patient's oxygen saturation. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | En el caso clínico realizado de una paciente de 63 años con neumonía adquirida en la comunidad, en la cual se planteó como objetivo general, analizar la intervención del terapeuta respiratorio en el cuidado de paciente femenino. La neumonía adquirida en la comunidad es una enfermedad que se la caracteriza por ser una infección aguda de las vías respiratorias bajas afectando esencialmente a los alveolos, los cuales sufren anomalías como la acumulación de secreciones, es una de las patologías más fáciles de diagnosticar por medio de exámenes radiológicos debido a la opacidad que se evidencia. La importancia de realizar un cuidado sobre esta patología se basa desde el método de diagnóstico hasta el tratamiento que se va a aplica lo cual es fundamental en la intervención que realiza el profesional de terapia respiratoria para que el paciente supere esta patología, se debe manejar de la manera más adecuada y ofrecer alternativas teniendo en cuenta la oxigenación del paciente, garantizando una vía aérea permeable. En conclusión, es importante indicar que la labor del terapeuta respiratorio en este caso fue vital, para el tratamiento de la neumonía, en este caso se efectuaron maniobras y actividades respiratorias para mejorar la saturación de oxígeno en la paciente. | es_ES |
