Sus complicaciones y afecciones son: Dificultad para respirar, Una tos entrecortada y seca que no mejora, Cansancio, Pérdida de peso sin razón aparente, Dolores en los músculos y en las articulaciones, en esta afección, las uñas se encorvan y las puntas de los dedos se agrandan. La investigación que se ha realizado en la ciudadela La Ventura del cantón Babahoyo, explorará por qué influye el tabaquismo en la Fibrosis Pulmonar.
