dc.descriptionDiabetes mellitus are disorders of metabolic origin where there are high concentrations of glucose in the blood. It is one of the diseases that has registered an increase in incidence worldwide and nationally. Lifestyles are the activities that are carried out on a daily basis and that have a significant impact on the state of health of people. The management of lifestyles is essential for the care of diabetes through the adaptation of healthy behaviors that contribute positively to the health of people, unhealthy behaviors increase the chances of developing health complications on the individual. The objective of this research is to determine the lifestyles that influence the development of health complications in adult patients who attend the Enrique Ponce Luque health center. The methodological approach is of a mixed quantitative-qualitative modality, with a descriptive level of cross-section or exploratory, with a theoretical and empirical method. The sample used was made up of 30 patients with a definitive diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus, a questionnaire was used as a collection instrument, and the data were processed and coded through the operationalization matrix of variables, then they were analyzed and represented in figures and statistical tables. In conclusion, type 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that produces systemic damage, therefore, it is of great interest in this situation that addresses this public health problem since lifestyle modifications reduce the possibility of developing complications of type 2 diabetes mellitus.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa diabetes mellitus son trastornos de origen metabólico donde se presentan elevadas concentraciones de glucosa en la sangre. Es una de las enfermedades que ha registrado un incremento de incidencia a nivel mundial y nacional. Los estilos de vida son las actividades que se realizan a diario y que tienen un impacto importante sobre el estado de salud de las personas. El manejo de los estilos de vida es fundamental para el cuidado de la diabetes por medio de la adaptación de conductas saludables que aporte positivamente para la salud de las personas, las conductas no saludables aumentan las posibilidades de desarrollar complicaciones de salud sobre el individuo. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo determinar los estilos de vida que influyen en el desarrollo de complicaciones de salud de pacientes adultos que acuden al centro de salud Enrique Ponce Luque. El enfoque metodológico es de modalidad mixto cuanti-cualitativo, con nivel descriptivo de corte transversal o exploratoria, con método teórico e empírico. La muestra utilizada fue constituida por 30 pacientes con diagnóstico definitivo de diabetes mellitus tipo 2, se utilizó como instrumento de recolección un cuestionario, y los datos fueron procesados y codificados mediante la matriz operacionalización de variables, luego fueron analizados y representados en figuras y tablas estadísticas. En conclusión, la diabetes mellitus tipo 2 es una enfermedad crónica que produce daños sistémicos, por lo tanto, resulta de gran importancia interesante en esta situación que aborda este problema de salud pública puesto que la modificación de los estilos de vida reduce la posibilidad de desarrollar complicaciones propias de la diabetes mellitus tipo 2.es_ES
