In any commercial business, inventory is one of the most important elements of the industry, as its survival in today's highly competitive market depends on its proper management. Maintaining proper inventory controls allows companies to make better decisions not only to increase sales, but also to attract more customers, as these controls provide effective inventory management to meet consumer demand. Based on this problem, the case study "INVENTORY MANAGEMENT IN THE PEPITA STORE IN URDANETA CANTON, PERIOD 2022" is proposed. The objective of this case study is to analyze the inventory control of Commercial Pepita, identifying deficiencies in the processes used for inventory management, which are reflected in inefficiencies in the controls, a factor that affects the economic profitability and commercial performance. The purpose of the case study is to highlight the importance of keeping an adequate inventory control in any type of company or commercial business, since it helps to maintain a balanced amount of inventory and to know which products or supplies are the most demanded by the productive activity of the company. The inventory management in Commercial Pepita is analyzed in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the processes implemented to reduce risks such as fraud, loss, deterioration, cost reduction and to generate accurate financial reports. This study is justified because it allows obtaining results in a direct way and it has the authorization of the entity to review the inventories in the analyzed periods, which allows examining the existing differences between Pepita's sales volume.es_ES
