Urinary tract infection (UTI) is defined as a bacterial persistence that can cause functional and morphological changes in the bladder, collecting system or kidney. It is mainly associated with the female gender due to physiological conditions such as genital anatomy, urinary habits and pregnancy. It is considered very important in pregnant women as it only addresses one of the most common obstetric complications, anemia and cervicitis.(Aguilar, 2014). (Víquez M. V., 2020). I affirm that, during gestation, anatomical and physiological changes in the urinary system are conducive to hydronephrosis, vesico-ureteral reflux and physicochemical changes in the urine. This, together with hormonal changes such as an increase in progesterone and the consequent decrease in muscle tone of the urethra and bladder and reduction of ureteral peristalsis, lead to urinary stasis, which creates a favorable environment for bacterial overgrowth and the potential for the development of a septic focus. In the present work, the ECP was applied systematically with the help of the NANDA, NOC and NIC taxonomy in order to use the diagnosis of the nurse and then implement the care plan to cover all his needs in a timely manner according to the pathology manifested above.es_ES
