| dc.description | Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (EPOC) is a very widespread disease, due to factors such as smoking, exposure to external smoke, among others; it is important to determine its epidemiology, to analyze the effects of environmental and physiological factors, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease that is very common in our lives emphysema and chronic bronchitis are the two most common conditions that contribute to the development of COPD, a persistent and potentially fatal pathology that can cause and factors that tend to be exacerbated. Through the nursing approach, we will analyze the case of a 90-year-old patient diagnosed with COPD due to daily consumption of cigarettes all his life to prepare food at home, with complications due to refusing to receive medical treatment. COPD in Ecuador is presented as a disease and has low detection at the first level. Hence the importance of addressing the present clinical case, promoting improvement in the patient's quality of life, through the application of knowledge of our discipline. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | La enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica (EPOC) es una enfermedad muy extendida, debido a factores como el tabaquismo, la exposición al humo externo, entre otros ;es importante determinar su epidemiología, para analizar los efectos de factores ambientales y fisiológicos enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica muy común en nuestras vidas el enfisema y la bronquitis crónica son las dos condiciones más comunes que contribuyen al desarrollo de la EPOC , una enfermedad persistente y potencialmente fatal patología que puede causar y factores que tienden a exacerbarse. A través del abordaje de enfermería, analizaremos el caso de un paciente de 90 años diagnosticado con EPOC a causa del consumo diario de cigarrillos toda su vida, con complicaciones por negarse a recibir tratamiento médico. La EPOC en Ecuador se presenta como una enfermedad y presenta baja detección en el primer nivel. De ahí la importancia de abordar el presente caso clínico propiciando mejora en calidad de vida del paciente, a través de la aplicación del conocimiento de nuestra disciplina. | es_ES |
