dc.descriptionThe overdue portfolio is a very important item to consider in companies since when its value increases it can affect the growth of the organization. It is essential that companies have an adequate management of the overdue portfolio; because it can affect profitability. When pertinent actions are not carried out to reduce the past-due portfolio, such as the development of efficient collection policies, it can trigger negative consequences in the liquidity and growth of the company. Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyze the overdue portfolio of the National Telecommunications Corporation of the Province of Los Ríos, in the period 2021. The study methodology consisted of a quantitative approach; the methods used were inductive method and synthetic. The types of research were documentary and field. The investigative techniques for the acquisition of information considered were an interview and observation. The results determined that the most frequent weaknesses in the collection process are: poor follow-up and evaluation of the overdue portfolio, delayed debt notifications or not delivered to debtors and low compliance with the goals established for the recovery of the overdue portfolio. Therefore, the company's collection policies and strategies are not effective. The company is recommended to improve the past-due portfolio recovery index and the establishment of actions that generate a greater turnover of accounts receivable.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa cartera vencida es un rubro muy importante a considerar en las empresas, debido a que cuando su valor aumenta puede afectar el crecimiento de la organización. Es fundamental que las empresas tengan una adecuada gestión de la cartera vencida; en virtud de que esta puede afectar la rentabilidad. Cuando no se realizan acciones pertinentes que permitan reducir la cartera vencida desencadena consecuencias negativas en la liquidez y crecimiento de la empresa. Por lo tanto, el objetivo del presente estudio es analizar la cartera vencida de la Corporación Nacional de Telecomunicaciones de la Provincia de Los Ríos, en el periodo 2021. La metodología del estudio consistió en un enfoque cuantitativo, los métodos empleados fueron: método inductivo y sintético. Los tipos de investigación fueron documental y de campo, mientras que las técnicas investigativas para la adquisición de información fueron: entrevista y observación. Lo resultados determinaron que, las debilidades más frecuentes en el proceso de cobranza son: escaso seguimiento y evaluación de la cartera vencida, notificaciones de deuda rezagadas o no entregadas a los deudores y bajo cumplimiento de las metas establecidas para la recuperación de la cartera vencida. Por lo tanto, las políticas y estrategias de cobranza de la empresa no son efectivas. Se recomienda a la empresa mejorar el índice de recuperación de la cartera vencida y el establecimiento de acciones que generen una mayor rotación de las cuentas por cobrar.es_ES
