Therefore, in this investigation, 278 equines were sampled, which were distributed in 33 farms belonging to the Baba canton, Los Ríos province, among them there are 109 horses, 59 foals, 48 fillies and 62 mares. Therefore, the data was evaluated using the Percentage Method to determine the percentage of how many cases are positive or negative to hemoparasites in horses. Positive cases were evaluated using the Non-Parametric Test for a single sample, Chi Square Test. 12 were positive (4%) and 266 negative (96%). 5 cases of Ehrlichia (41.66%) and 5 ehrlichia platys (41.66%) and 2 theileria equis (16.66%) were found. In the distribution by sex it is said that there are 38% females and 62% males. Among the animals most susceptible to hemoparasitic diseases are horses.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLas enfermedades hemoparasitarias representa un gran problema a nivel mundial no solo en la salud animal sino también en la salud pública, entre las principales enfermedades que afectan al equino tenemos a la piroplasmosis, anaplasmosis y tripanosomiasis esto cada día se está convirtiendose en una de las afecciones más preocupante para el productor ganadero. Por lo antes, mencionado, el presente trabajo se realizó con la finalidad de determinar la incidencia de enfermedades hemoparasitarias en equino del cantón Baba Provincia de Los Ríos. Por lo tanto, en esta investigación se muestrearon 278 equinos lo cual estuvieron distribuido en 33 predios perteneciente al cantón Baba provincia de Los Ríos, entre ellos hay 109 caballos, 59 potrillos, 48 potrancas y 62 yeguas. Por lo que los datos fueron evaluados mediante el Método Porcentual para determinar en porcentaje cuantos casos son positivos o negativos a hemoparásitos en equinos. Los casos positivos fueron evaluados mediante la Prueba No Paramétrica para una sola muestra, Prueba de Chi Cuadrado. 12 fueron positivos (4%) y 266 negativos (96%). Se encontró 5 casos de Ehrlichia (41,66%) y 5 ehrlichia platys (41,66%) y 2 theileria equis (16,66%). En la distribución por sexo se dice que hay un 38% hembras y 62% machos. Entre los animales más susceptibles a enfermedades hemoparasitarias están los caballos.es_ES
