dc.descriptionEcuador is known for its tourist potential due to its biodiversity and multiculturalism, places such as the Quilotoa lagoon, the Amazon jungle, national beaches are examples of the country's potential, likewise there is the commitment of Ecuadorians to risk undertake in national tourism. This research aims to analyze the feasibility for the creation of a tour operator in the city of Babahoyo, to carry out this study an exploratory and documentary research was used, with a mixed quantitative and qualitative approach. Surveys were conducted to the inhabitants of the city and interviews to the different travel agencies duly registered in the national registry of tourist establishments, which allowed identifying the offer and demand that the city has. It was established that the inhabitants of the city feel a great interest in knowing different places in the country and are willing to hire tourist intermediation, on the other hand the current offer by travel agencies in the city of Babahoyo was corroborated and an approach towards the sale and promotion of packages to international destinations could be evidenced. This case study concluded that there is a feasibility for the creation of a tour operator in the city of Babahoyo, identifying a great market opportunity for it.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEcuador es conocido por su potencial turístico debido a la biodiversidad y multiculturalidad con la que cuenta, lugares como la laguna del Quilotoa, la selva Amzónica, las playas nacionales son ejemplos del potencial del país, así mismo existe el compromiso de los ecuatorianos para arriesgarse a emprender en el turismo nacional. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo analizar la factibilidad para la creación de una operadora turística en la ciudad de Babahoyo, para llevar a cabo este estudio se utilizó una investigación exploratoria y documental, con un enfoque mixto tanto cuantitativo como cualitativo. Se realizaron encuestas a los moradores de la ciudad y entrevistas a las diferentes agencias de viajes debidamente registradas en el catastro nacional de establecimientos turísticos, lo cual permitió identificar la oferta y demanda con la que cuenta la ciudad. Se estableció que los habitantes de la ciudad sienten un gran interés por conocer diferentes lugares del país y están dispuesto a contratar intermediación turística, por otro lado se corroboró la oferta actual por parte de las agencias de viaje en la ciudad de Babahoyo y se pudo evidenciar un enfoque hacia la venta y promoción de paquetes hacia destinos internacionales. Este estudio de caso llegó a la conclusión que si existe una factibilidad para la creación de una operadora turística en la ciudad de Babahoyo, identificándose una gran oportunidad de mercado para la misma.es_ES
