Sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum) is a widely distributed crop in various countries, from tropical to subtropical regions. Fast-growing grass that needs rich soil with a lot of water to reach 5 meters contains a high concentration of sucrose; It produces more carbohydrates per hectare than any other crop. Producers are going through a crisis, and one of the affected sectors is the raw material used to make balanced meals, for example, a quintal of corn costs $14.90, but in neighboring coun, tries the price ranges between $7 and $13. For this reason, several authors have supplied sugarcane in different presentations such as cane juice, cane stand lk, and broken cane, which have demonstrated their effectiveness in feeding pigs. Cane juice is mainly composed of sucrose and reducing sugars, it contains 16% to 20% of dry matter (DM), of which 80% is soluble, and it has a crude protein content (PC) of up to 2 %, although the actual protein content is almost nil. Sugarcane stem is low in protein (0.67) and lacking in essential amino acids. Fractionated sugarcane in the growth and finishing stages to replace high levels of corn in balanced diets can be made at 13% and 15% crude protein (CP), increasing daily.es_ES
