Allelopathy is the direct effects of a chemical compound secreted by a plant on the growth and development of another organism. Likewise, allelopathy refers to the beneficial or harmful effects that a plant has on another plant, weed species or crops, the chemical release of these substances is through partial leaching of the plant, root exudation, evaporation, decomposition residue, among others. In addition, it is a biological phenomenon where an organism produces one or more compounds since it influences the growth, survival or reproduction of other organisms and at the same time they are known as allelochemicals, likewise, there are two types of positive allelopathy and negative allelopathy in the which one has beneficial effects and the other detrimental effects. The main objective of this research was to know the plants with allelopathic principles used in the integrated management of insect pests. Implementing integrated pest management allows these unwanted organisms to be controlled in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner, which is why it is important to use plants with allelopathic principles as an alternative for the control of agricultural pests and in this way, we avoid contaminating the environment. environment. Plants such as rue, rose of the dead, garlic, chili, basil, onion, and neem with allelopathic principles turn out to be a beneficial option since they allow crops to be protected from pest insect infestation and are used more frequently in ancestral agriculture, organic and agroecological.es_ES
