dc.descriptionThe subject of this case study was the agronomic management of mango cultivation (Mangifera indica), for export in Ecuador. The mango is currently recognized as one of the finest tropical fruits of enormous acceptance in national and international markets, it represents a potential for commercial exploitation with a compromising future. But many farmers refrain from growing mango because they do not know how to give it the necessary care that this crop requires, due to this problem this report was made with the purpose of establishing the agronomic management of mango cultivation for export grown in Ecuador. To carry out this research project, study techniques were used, so information was collected Bibliography of books, magazines, papers, newspapers, scientific articles, web pages, presentations, conferences and technical brochures. For the cultivation of mango, planting, irrigation, pruning, fertilization, pest and disease control must be taken into consideration, in addition to taking due care during harvest and post-harvest. The best areas of Ecuador to cultivate this plant are: Santa Elena, Guayas, Los Ríos, Manabí and El Oro. It is recommended to carry out this crop in areas where the altitude does not exceed 800 meters above sea level and that has an amount of 2190 hours per year.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio de caso tuvo como tema manejo agronómico del cultivo de mango (Mangifera indica), para exportación en el Ecuador. El mango en la actualidad es reconocido como unos de los frutos tropicales más finos de enorme aceptación en mercados nacionales e internacionales, representa un potencial de explotación comercial con un futuro comprometedor. Pero muchos agricultores se abstienen de cultivar mango porque no saben darle el cuidado necesario que requiere este cultivo, debido a esta problemática este informe se efectuó con el propósito de establecer el manejo agronómico del cultivo de mango para exportación cultivadas en Ecuador. Para efectuar este proyecto de investigación se utilizó técnicas de estudios por lo que se recopiló información Bibliografía de libros, revistas, trabajos, periódicos, artículos científicos, Páginas web, presentaciones, conferencias y folletos técnicos. Para el cultivar mango se debe tener en consideración la siembra, riego, poda, fertilización, control de plagas y enfermedades, Además de tener los debidos cuidados durante la cosecha y poscosecha. Las mejores zonas del Ecuador para cultivar esta planta son: Santa Elena, Guayas, Los Ríos, Manabí y el Oro. Se recomienda realizar este cultivo en zonas donde la altitud no supere los 800msnm y que tenga una cantidad de 2190 horas por año.es_ES
