| dc.description | Asthma is a disease characterized by an exaggerated reaction of the tracheal tree to certain stimuli, resulting in diffuse narrowing of the trachea, associated with excessive constriction of bronchial smooth muscle, excessive mucus secretion, and mucosal edema. For proper management of a patient with this condition, symptoms and signs must be fully evaluated clinically and additional tests performed to confirm the correct diagnosis. The main causal agent of bronchial asthma in the 53-year-old female patient is the tobacco smoke to which she is exposed, since her husband is an active smoker in the place where she lives, in addition there are other causal agents of bronchial asthma in the patient as the exposure to the different environmental allergens to which she is exposed since she lives in a rural area of the Babahoyo canton, also to her workplace since she is a seller of chemical products. Proper management of patients with this disease will prevent clinical deterioration, so any person with this condition must carry out appropriate management and treatment according to the severity of the patient's asthma and strictly follow the recommendations given by the doctor. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El asma es una enfermedad caracterizada por una reacción exagerada del árbol traqueal a ciertos estímulos, lo que provoca un estrechamiento difuso de los bronquios, asociado con una constricción excesiva del músculo liso bronquial, secreción excesiva de moco y edema de la mucosa. Para el manejo adecuado de un paciente con esta afección, los síntomas y signos deben evaluarse clínicamente en su totalidad y realizarse pruebas adicionales para confirmar el diagnóstico correcto. El principal agente causal del asma bronquial en la paciente de sexo femenino de 53 años de edad es el humo del tabaco a la que está expuesta ya que en el lugar donde vive su esposo es fumador activo, además existen otros agentes causales del asma bronquial en la paciente como la exposición a los diferentes alergenos ambientales a la que está expuesta, ya que vive en una zona rural del cantón Babahoyo, también a su lugar de trabajo, dado que es vendedora de productos químicos. El manejo adecuado de los pacientes con esta enfermedad evitará el deterioro clínico, por lo que cualquier persona con esta condición debe llevar una atención y tratamiento adecuado según la gravedad del asma del paciente y seguir estrictamente las recomendaciones dadas por el médico. | es_ES |
